Behind the art of our Indigenous designs
Sitting On Country
This Indigenous piece is inspired by the women, men, girls, and boys coming together sitting on country.
The circles that are Indigenous meeting rings and the symbols that sit outside the circles are people, they sit together sharing stories of our people and speaking of dreams for the future.
The hills that surround them provide shelter, the dots are our ancestors that surround the meeting giving guidance and wisdom.
I want to share this piece with love and harmony.

Our Journey Home
Our journey home is a piece inspired by our many journeys home. The hills represent different places that we have lived during our life, the river is the connections to the Indigenous lands and gives us nourishment while travelling.
The Indigenous symbol represents a person, these people sitting around in a circle are those that we have met with along our journeys.
We sit, we yarn and we are connected. The people we meet along all our journeys lave a memory, these memories are each circle and dot.
